• PhD from National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi. Thesis topic: ‘Inter-Tribal Variation in Participation of Tribal Children at Elementary Education in Uttarakhand'. Awarded in November 2020.
• M.Phil. from National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi. Thesis topic: ‘Inter-Tribal Variation in Schooling: A Comparative Study of Bhotias and Tharus in Uttarakhand’. Awarded in December 2014.
